Use the list below to skip directly to a specific question. Stone veneer is an engineered product designed to bring to life the aesthetics of natural stone in a variety of architectural applications. The products are lightweight (8 to 12 lbs per square foot) and are molded using a proprietary process into many shapes and colors using a proprietary production process. All of Environmental Stoneworks' products are crafted from carefully hand-picked natural stone chosen for beauty and design characteristics. How are Environmental Stoneworks' products made? Environmental Stoneworks' products are produced using a proprietary molding process to produce a virtually indistinguishable replica of our carefully selected natural stone – drawn from around North America. Each stone contains a unique blend of iron oxide pigments, Portland cement, lightweight aggregate and other additives. The combination of these ingredients with our state-of-the-art manufacturing process creates our industry leading product line. Will Environmental Stoneworks' products retain their color? All of our products utilize naturally occurring iron oxide pigments which offer superior protection against fading and weathering over time – even under the harshest weather conditions. As a result, our customers can expect their projects to retain the natural beauty long-term when installed and maintained per manufacturers guidelines. Are Environmental Stoneworks' products guaranteed? Environmental Stoneworks' stands behind all of its manufactured products by offering an >industry leading product warranty<. Will Environmental Stoneworks' products pass building code inspections? Our products have been tested by independent licensed laboratories and classified as noncombustible and fire-retardant. Water absorption is extremely low, and tests have shown our products to be of superior strength and durability. How costly is Stone Veneer to apply? Environmental Stone Products are an economical building material to apply. No extra footings, special foundations or wall ties are needed because of its light weight. Our Stone Veneer adheres quickly and cuts labor and material costs substantially. Are Environmental Stoneworks' products easy to install? Anyone can install our product by following the instructions in our Installation Guide. The quick adhesion and light weight make installation of Environmental Stone Products easier and faster than other stone veneer products. How should a surface be cleaned prior to installing Environmental Stoneworks' products? Often the surface can be cleaned using plain water. Sealed surfaces, such as those around swimming pools, on stairways, or along interior walls, may require cleaning with a natural bristle brush and mild detergent. Heavily soiled unsealed surfaces may require cleaning with a weak (1:10) solution of citric acid and water. Can Environmental Stoneworks' products be sealed? Yes. However, we do not recommend this treatment because it will trap in moisture and change the sheen on the stone finish. How are Environmental Stoneworks' products packaged? All products are carefully packaged in crates or small boxes in order to ensure accurate quantities and protection during delivery. Each package is labeled with individual product information (style, type, color and quantity) to ensure that our customers receive exactly what they have ordered.
